El comité del Premio Nobel d ela Paz acaba de publicar el siguiente texto, acompañado de una fotografía de la última galardonada, la empresaria venezolana María Corina Machado:
“Cuando se escriba la historia de nuestro tiempo, no serán los nombres de los gobernantes autoritarios los que destaquen, sino los de quienes se atrevieron a resistir. La Premio Nobel de la Paz 2025, María Corina Machado, es la última incorporación a una lista de personas que han defendido la democracia, entre ellas Carl von Ossietzky, Andrei Sájarov y Nelson Mandela. Aquí, analiza los retratos de algunos de los Premios Nobel de la Paz que la precedieron”.
“Cuando se escriba la historia de nuestro tiempo” se dirá que el minúsculo comité de políticos (cinco legisladores, cuatro de derecha) que deciden el Nobel de la Paz se superó cada año en su ridiculez–casi tan ridículo como la telenovela lacrimógena de la hija de Machado, recibiendo el premio en su nombre.
Dirá que fue otro signo de la decadencia de un mundo que se moría y, con él, enterraba todo su prestigio, meritoriamente construido a fuerza de arrogancia, racismo e imperialismo.
Señores del honorable Comité. ¿Es que han perdido el sentido de la decencia? Comparar a María Corina Machado con Nelson Mandela, un luchador contra el racismo y el imperialismo, encarcelado 30 años y definido como terrorista por el mismo imperio intervencionista que promueve a una Rémora que nunca estuvo presa por sus ideas y por su apoyo a golpes de Estado y mendiga que bombardeen su propio país, es un poco demasiado, ¿o no?

Considerando sus repetidos fracasos y sus aún más insistentes abusos de funciones como «Secretario» de los Estados, le solicitamos tenga a bien y por el poco honor que le resta, renunciar a su cargo posibilitando que alguien más apto pueda continuar con la conocida y fundacional misión de la OEA de seguir los intereses de Washington, al menos de forma más disimulada (excluimos aquí al pueblo estadounidense que suele brillar por su radical ignorancia de lo que ocurre en el mundo).
Seguramente no será un detalle para usted dejar de hacer el ridículo histórico y mucho menos para los de abajo tener que sufrir su criminal indiferencia y desprecio. Usted ha honrado la antigua regla de que “el hábito hace al monje” cada vez que ocupó un cargo público, desde el gobierno de izquierda en Uruguay hasta el gobierno de derecha de la OEA.
Amablemente, le pedimos la renuncia, porque sabemos que usted no será derrocado por ningún golpe de Estado ya que la OEA no cuenta con un ejército propio.

In light of your repeated failures and continued abuse of the functions of «secretary» of the States, we request that you, for the sake of the little honor that remains to you, resign your position and thereby allow someone more fitting to continue, at least in a more disguised fashion, with the OAS’s well-known and fundamental mission of pursuing the interests of Washington (not to say the interests of the U.S. public, which tends to shine in its radical ignorance of what is happening in the world).
Surely it will be no great effort for you to cease your history of making a fool of yourself, and even less so from the perspective of those at the bottom of the social order who have to suffer your criminal indifference and disdain. You have honored the old rule that the cowl makes the monk in every public charge you have occupied, from the left-wing administration of Uruguay to the right-wing administration of the OAS.
We kindly ask for your resignation, because we know that you will not be brought down by any coup d’etat, since the OAS does not have an army of its own.

Considérant vos échecs répétés et vos abus encore plus insistants des fonctions de » Secrétaire » des États, nous vous demandons de bien faire et de sauver le peu d’honneur qui vous reste, en démissionnant de votre poste, afin de permettre à quelqu’un de plus apte à poursuivre la mission connue et fondamentale de l’OEA – suivre les intérêts de Washington-, au moins d’une manière plus masquée (nous excluons ici le peuple usaméricain qui brille généralement par son ignorance totale de ce qui se passe dans le monde).
Ce ne sera certainement pas un détail pour vous d’arrêter de vous ridiculiser face à l’histoire et encore moins pour ceux d’en bas d’avoir à subir votre indifférence criminelle et votre mépris. Vous avez respecté la vieille règle selon laquelle » l’habit fait le moine » chaque fois que vous avez occupé une charge publique, du gouvernement de gauche en Uruguay au gouvernement de droite de l’OEA.
Nous vous demandons de bien vouloir démissionner, car nous savons que vous ne serez pas renversé par un coup d’État puisque l’OEA n’a pas d’armée traditionnelle.

Sicuramente non sarà un dettaglio per voi smettere di rendervi ridicolo di fronte alla storia e ancor meno per coloro che sono sotto di voi ner dover sopportare di dover subire la vostra indifferenza criminale e il vostro disprezzo. Lei ha rispettato la vecchia regola che «l’abito fa il monaco» ogni volta che ha ricoperto cariche pubbliche, dal governo di sinistra in Uruguay al governo di destra dell’OSA.
Vi chiediamo gentilmente di dimettervi, perché sappiamo che non sarete rovesciato da nessun colpo di Stato, poiché l’OSA non ha un esercito tradizionale.
